The Problem

The options were wrong.

Between long workdays, early gym sessions, and the middle of everything in between, the usual choices kept falling short. Coffee hit too hard and left too fast. Sugary drinks spiked and crashed. Protein shakes felt like work — chalky, heavy, something you choked down rather than looked forward to. We were doing everything right and still feeling like something was off.

The Idea

What if the drink you needed already existed — just not yet?

A single question: what would it look like if your protein drink was also your hydration drink, your functional supplement, and something you actually wanted to reach for? That question became a notebook page. The notebook page became a brief. The brief became Honest Energy+.

The Build

Months in the formulation room.

We started with BLG whey protein isolate — a beta-lactoglobulin fraction that stays crystal-clear in water. Then the functional ingredients. Electrolytes for Blood Orange. Magnesium Bisglycinate for Berry Hibiscus. Ashwagandha extract for Mango Pineapple. One job each. Done properly. 61 calories per can. 15g of protein. Ingredients you can read out loud without pausing.
